Can I use Dyness LiFePO4 Lithium batteries as starting batteries?

No. Dyness LiFePO4 lithium batteries are not intended to be used as starting batteries but energy storage, please do not use them to start any devices.

Can I charge Dyness 24 Volt 100Ah batteries with solar panels?

Yes, you can charge Dyness LiFePO4 lithium batteries with solar panels. Here are 3 reliable ways to charge

1. Using Solar Panels

The Dyness 24V 100Ah battery can be fully charged by in one day (with effective sunshine 4.5hrs/day) by 800W solar panels. It may take more than one day to fully charge the battery by ≥800W solar panels since the duration and intensity of light would be a great factor for their charging efficiency. Make sure using a solar charge controller when charging the battery with solar panels.

2. Generator/Alternator

If the alternator or generator supports DC output, a DC-to-DC charger is needed to connect the battery to the generator; if your alternator or generator supports AC output, please add a suitable battery charger to connect the battery and the generator according to our recommendations.

The Recommended Charging Voltage: 28.4V - 29.2V. The Recommended Charging Current: ① 20A (0.2C): the battery will be fully charged in around 5 hrs to 100% capacity; ② 50A (0.5C): the battery will be fully charged in around 2 hrs to around 97% capacity.

3. LiFePO4 Smart Chargers

To charge 24V battery, it is recommended to use 29.2V battery chargers.

The Recommended Charging Voltage: 28.4V - 29.2V.

The Recommended Charging Current: ① 20A (0.2C): the battery will be fully charged in around 5 hrs to 100% capacity; ② 50A (0.5C): the battery will be fully charged in around 2 hrs to around 97% capacity.

Can I charge Dyness 24V lithium ion batteries in cold weather (under freezing temperatures)?

For This 24V 100Ah Battery: Please be aware that this model should only be charged when the battery's temperature is above 32°F (0°C). Charging in freezing temperatures will damage the cells. On cold days, the best practice is to bring the battery indoors to charge.



For Charging in Freezing Temperatures: If your application requires charging in sub-zero weather (e.g., winter RVing, off-grid cabins), consider our Dyness Cold Weather Batteries. These advanced batteries include a built-in system (low-temperature charging off protection) that automatically manages charging in the cold, protecting your investment.

How do I store Dyness LiFePO4 lithium batteries?

It is recommended to store Dyness LiFePO4 batteries at 50% state of charge (SOC). If the batteries are stored for long periods, cycle the batteries at least every 3 months. Recommended storage environment: 10℃~35℃ (50℉~95℉), 45%RH~75%RH

Value concious 24v systems!

Working as intended so far with no issues. Running 4 in P on a 3600w inverter.custoker support and after sales support has been fantastic and oddly dare I say the best ive ever seen so kudos to dyness for that and I expect in the event of a failure they will be easy and on hand which is a nice after sale point. Installation was easy and straight forward with charging first then installing in your setup. For the price if building a 24v system these are worth a hard look in my opinion. I cant speak for longevity but if anything happens ill update this review so as is right now, great batteries for many applications from a 24v rv/camping setup to a backup inverter or even a whole house inverter system. Go 48v and you get up to 20kwh without issue or worry, almost cant got wrong!

Installation was straightforward. There are no complicated steps, and it’s way lighter than the old battery bank I used. What’s impressive is how stable the power output is, never flickering even when switching between devices. So far, it’s holding up well, and I’m thinking of adding another one to expand the capacity later.​
