FAQS

Can I use Dyness LiFePO4 Lithium batteries as starting batteries?

No. Dyness LiFePO4 lithium batteries are not intended to be used as starting batteries but energy storage, please do not use them to start any devices.

If you need the marine starting batteries, visitDyness 12V 100Ah.

How long will a 12V 200Ah battery last?

Run Time (hours) = Battery Capacity (Ah) / Current (A)

The higher the discharge rate (amount of current/amps being drawn from the battery), the shorter the duration it will last.

For example:

A 200Ah battery discharging at just 10A could theoretically last around 20 hours. Discharging at 50A would last only around 4 hours.

Are LiTime 12V 200Ah LiFePO4 Lithium batteries safe?

Yes. LiFePO4 is an inherently safe chemistry and the most stable lithium-type battery on the market. Dyness lithium cells are certificated by FCC,CE,LCSA,UL2743,TÜV to ensure their quality and safety.

All Dyness LiFePO4 batteries come with an internal Battery Management System, which protects against under-voltage during discharge, over-voltage during charge, over-current during discharge, over-temperature during charge and discharge, and short-circuit protection – protects battery cells from damage.

Additionally, Dyness LiFePO4 Lithium batteries have been tested to be free from the risk of fire, and electric shock in harsh environments.

How to charge LiTime LiFePO4 lithium batteries?

1. Using Solar Panels

The battery can be fully charged in one day (with effective sunshine 4.5 hrs/day) by 800W solar panels. It may take more than one day to fully charge the battery by ≥800W solar panels since the duration and intensity of light would be a great factor for their charging efficiency. Besides solar panels, there are 2 more ways to charge.

2. Generator/Alternator

If the alternator or generator supports DC output, a DC-to-DC charger is needed to connect the battery to the generator; if your alternator or generator supports AC output, please add a suitable battery charger to connect the battery and the generator according to our recommendations. The Recommended Charging Voltage: 14.2V - 14.6V. The Recommended Charging Current: ① 40A (0.2C): the battery will be fully charged in around 5 hrs to 100% capacity; ② 100A (0.5C): the battery will be fully charged in around 2 hrs to around 97% capacity.

3. LiFePO4 Smart Chargers

To charge 12V battery, it is recommended to use 14.6V battery charger. The Recommended Charging Voltage: 14.2V - 14.6V. The Recommended Charging Current: ①

Is it okay to keep the charger connected to the battery without disconnecting?

It is recommended to disconnect the charger from the battery or unplug the charger plug from the socket when the storage battery is fully charged. Otherwise, it may cause the battery BMS to trigger overcharging protection.

If BMS protection is frequently triggered, the BMS will be dam

Can I charge Dyness LiFePO4 lithium batteries in cold weather (under freezing temperatures)?

LiFePO4 batteries can safely charge between 0℃ to 50℃ / 32℉ to 122℉. Dyness cold weather batteries include the low-temperature charging protection which will automatically cut the battery charging off when the cell temperature is lower than 32℉, thus preventing the battery cells from damage when charging under the freezing point.

It's recommended to charge the battery indoor when it's cold day. For more detailed guidance, visit the LiFePO4 Temperature Range page.

How do I store Dyness LiFePO4 lithium batteries?

It is recommended to store Dyness LiFePO4 batteries at 50% state of charge (SOC). If the batteries are stored for long periods, cycle the batteries at least every 3 months. Recommended storage environment: 10℃~35℃ (50℉~95℉), 45%RH~75%RH

I ordered 2 two packs and only received one of them. The batteries look nice, but for my 48v application I haven't been able to use them yet. Reached out using the web page and by responding to the email address that sent me updates. I have not gotten a response yet, and it's been a week.

This Dyness 12V 200Ah LiFePO4 Battery is really something. What really impressed me is the fast charging and deep cycle performance. I’ve run it through several charge/discharge cycles and it’s performing like a champ with no noticeable loss in capacity. Plus, the built-in BMS gives me peace of mind knowing it’s protected against overcharging and deep discharges.
It’s also noticeably lighter than traditional lead-acid batteries, which is a huge plus for my RV setup. For the price, performance, and reliability, this Dyness battery is a total win.

This 12V 200Ah LiFePO4 battery is pretty good overall. When I use it in my RV, it powers the fridge, AC, and all the little gadgets with no issues. The battery life is awesome. After a two-day camping trip, there's still quite a bit of juice left. It's way lighter than the lead-acid battery I had before, so carrying it around is way easier, and I feel good about its safety too.
But there's a small problem: charging it with a solar panel takes forever. It practically needs a full day of sunlight to charge up completely, and if it's cloudy, it's even slower. That does take a bit away from the experience.

I bought one battery at full price, and now that there's a discount, I've purchased another one. Can't wait to receive it soon!

I bought this 12V 200Ah battery for my small fishing boat. It powers the fish finder, navigator, and the lights on the boat, and there's still plenty of power left after a full day. What's more, it's resistant to bumps—no issues even when the boat is rocking around. With my previous battery, I always worried about poor connections. Its battery life is better than expected, definitely worth getting.
